Ceramic vase using a Japanese technique developed exclusively for THE NEXT DOOR.

Clay piece sandstone from Saint Amant. Once fired, a long process of linen thread work begins.

The thread is coated with rice starch and Japanese lacquer (urushi).

The wire will go around the part, in one go, until it reaches the final dimension. 

The rest of the room is plastered with the same mixture to give the patina effect.

It takes between 2 and 3 months to complete the piece.
